Seenu (1999)

Tollywood Picture Spotlite: Seenu (1999).

Seenu (played by Venkatesh) relocated to town in search of a living and comes to the flat of Anjaneyulu, his old friend. The rural accent and habits of Seenu amuses the flat-owners. Seenu realizes that everone are teasing him for his village mannerism and lack of education.
Seenu tries and fails to get a decent job and finally settles to become a painter of wall posters for a company. He sees Swetha (played by Twinkle Khanna) who mistakes Seenu to be a dumb person. Seenu and Swetha get close and Seenu finds it difficult to maintain to be a dumb person. At the end of the story, he gives up his tongue surgically so as to remain close with Swetha permanently.
